Terms of Service
Applies to all users of Parkeas in Canada.
Last updated: July 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Parkeas ("we", "us", "Parkeas"), you agree to these Terms of Service and confirm you are at least the age of majority in your province or territory. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Scope of Service
Parkeas is a Canadian peer-to-peer marketplace that connects parking space owners ("Hosts") with drivers ("Drivers"). Parkeas is a technology intermediary and does not own, operate, or manage any parking space. All bookings are contracts between the Driver and the Host.
3. Accounts & Identity
You must provide accurate information, a valid Canadian phone number, and, where required, government-issued identification for verification. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity on your account.
4. Bookings, Payments & Taxes
All prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable federal and provincial sales taxes — GST, HST, PST, or QST — are calculated at checkout based on the province where the parking space is located and are itemized on your receipt. Payments are processed by our PCI-compliant partners. Parkeas charges a service fee and a host commission disclosed at booking.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation policies are set per listing and displayed before booking. Refunds are returned to your original payment method or Parkeas wallet in accordance with the host's policy and applicable consumer-protection laws in your province or territory.
6. Host Responsibilities
Hosts confirm they hold the legal right to rent the listed space and comply with all municipal zoning, condominium, strata, HOA, and provincial rules. Hosts must maintain accurate availability, provide safe access, and disclose any restrictions.
7. Driver Responsibilities
Drivers must occupy only the booked space, follow posted instructions, and vacate by the end of the reservation. Overtime and damage fees may be applied where authorized by the Host and permitted by law.
8. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Parkeas to conduct illegal activity, misrepresent identity, evade parking authority enforcement, or store hazardous, prohibited, or unregistered vehicles.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parkeas is not liable for loss, theft, damage, or injury occurring at parking locations. Optional parking protection may be purchased at checkout. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory Canadian consumer-protection statutes.
10. Electronic Communications & CASL
By creating an account you consent to receive transactional messages (booking confirmations, receipts, service updates) by email or SMS. Marketing messages are sent only with your express consent as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and every commercial email includes an unsubscribe link.
11. Dispute Resolution
Report disputes through the Help Centre first; Parkeas will mediate in good faith. Unresolved matters may be brought to a court of competent jurisdiction in the province or territory where you reside, or resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law. Quebec users retain all rights under the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec).
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, except that consumer laws of the user's province or territory of residence apply where they provide greater protection.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email at least 15 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
