- Cash, jewellery, documents — Parkeas doesn’t insure stored items, at any value
- Anything illegal to possess — may be reported, and the booking can be ended
Car, RV, boat and trailer storage
Hosts can also list garages, pads and yard space for vehicles, by the month. It suits a car you don’t drive in winter, a project car, an RV or boat between seasons, or a trailer you have no room for at home.
- Cars and motorcycles: look for a full garage (about 180–220 sq ft) or a half garage for a motorcycle.
- RVs, boats and trailers: look for a yard or pad listing (250+ sq ft, outdoors and uncovered).
- Each listing shows its size and what fits; read the host’s description for what it allows and when you can get in, and check that your own insurance covers what you store.
Storage FAQ
What can I store?
Most hosts allow household items, seasonal gear, and business inventory. Check each listing's description for specific restrictions (some units aren't suited to perishables or hazardous materials).
How is my access secured?
You get a PIN and QR code after booking, the same access system used for parking spots. If a listing has extra security, such as a locked gate or a camera, you'll see it in its amenities.
Is the space insured?
Hosts complete identity verification before listing, but Parkeas itself doesn't provide storage insurance. Check your own contents policy, or ask the host about theirs, before storing anything valuable.
Can I book by the month?
Yes. Storage on Parkeas is rented by the month, and every listing shows its monthly price before you book. You can book up to 24 months at a time, starting within 21 days. A booking longer than a month is charged month by month on the card you book with, 3 days before each month starts, and you can end it early with 30 days' notice from your booking page.
Can I store my car for the winter in Kitchener-Waterloo?
Yes, if the host’s space fits it. A full garage (about 180–220 sq ft) holds a car; check the listing’s size and description to see whether it takes vehicles. You pay the monthly price for the number of months you pick when you book, up to 24, and you should check that your own auto insurance covers the car while it’s stored.
Is there RV, boat or trailer storage?
Yard and pad listings (250+ sq ft, outdoors and uncovered) are the ones for RVs, boats on trailers and trailers. Check each listing’s size, and read its description for access, before you book, since a large vehicle needs room to get in and out.
