This Cookie Policy explains how Parkeas Inc. ("Parkeas," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit parkeas.com, use the Parkeas application, or otherwise access our digital services.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Analytics & PerformanceGoogle Analytics 4 measures how the public site is used β€” which pages are visited, how people arrive, and how many searches and bookings result. 1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your browser or device when you visit a website. Cookies may help a website remember your preferences, keep you signed in, understand how the site is used, improve performance, provide security, and personalize certain features.

Some cookies remain only for the duration of your browser session, while others remain on your device for a longer period.

2. Similar Technologies

Parkeas also uses technologies similar to cookies, principally browser local storage and session storage β€” used for the account and preference data described below. For simplicity, this Policy refers to these technologies collectively as "cookies and similar technologies." Parkeas does not use advertising pixels, retargeting tags or third-party ad networks. The one measurement tool in use is Google Analytics, described in Section 6.

3. Why Parkeas Uses Cookies

Parkeas uses cookies and similar technologies to support the operation, security and improvement of the Platform, including to:

  • Keep Users signed in
  • Remember preferences such as language, theme and last-viewed country
  • Enable booking functionality and prevent duplicate submissions
  • Maintain account security
  • Attribute a new sign-up to the referral link that brought them here, if any
  • Measure how the public site is used, so we know which pages and cities to improve

Parkeas does not use cookies for advertising, retargeting or cross-site profiling β€” see Sections 6 and 10.

4. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Platform to function properly. They support login and authentication (your Supabase sign-in session) and protect against duplicate booking submissions. Because these cookies are required for essential Platform functions, they cannot be disabled through Parkeas settings without signing you out.

5. Functional Cookies

Functional cookies help improve your experience by remembering choices you make, including your preferred language, theme, last-viewed country, dashboard layout, and your cached entry PIN so it still works when you're offline. Disabling these cookies may reduce certain Platform functionality.

6. Analytics Cookies

Parkeas uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Platform is used in aggregate β€” how many people visit, which pages and cities they look at, how they arrived, and how often a visit leads to a search or a booking. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*, which expire after two years) to tell one visit from the next.

What Parkeas sends to Google is deliberately limited. Page addresses are stripped of everything after the ? or #, so what you type into search β€” frequently a home address β€” along with entry codes and password-reset links is never transmitted. Events are counted without the content behind them: a search is recorded as its category and how many results came back, never the words searched; a completed booking is recorded as its booking reference and amount, never a name, address or entry PIN.

Parkeas does not use Google Analytics for advertising, and Google Signals and ad personalization are not enabled. You can refuse analytics cookies using the browser controls in Section 16, or Google's own opt-out browser add-on.

7. Performance Cookies

Parkeas does not currently use dedicated performance-monitoring cookies. Basic technical error and crash information may be logged server-side to help us fix problems β€” see Section 10 of our Privacy Policy β€” but this is not collected through a cookie on your device.

8. Security & Fraud Prevention Cookies

The same sign-in session cookie described in Section 4 helps Parkeas detect suspicious logins and protect your account and payment transactions. Parkeas does not currently set additional, separate fraud-detection cookies beyond this.

10. Advertising & Marketing Cookies

Parkeas does not currently run advertising and sets no cross-site tracking or ad-retargeting cookies. We set one marketing-adjacent cookie β€” parkease_referral_code β€” solely to attribute a new sign-up to the referral link that brought you here. If Parkeas introduces advertising technologies in the future, we will seek consent before placing non-essential advertising cookies, where required by applicable law.

11. First-Party Cookies

First-party cookies are placed directly by Parkeas. All of the cookies listed in the quick-reference table above β€” authentication, preferences, booking, and referral attribution β€” are first-party.

12. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies or equivalent identifiers may be placed by third-party service providers that support Parkeas β€” for example, Stripe when you make a payment, and Google when you sign in with a Google account or use address autocomplete. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and under contractual safeguards with Parkeas.

13. Examples of Third-Party Services

The third-party services Parkeas currently uses include:

  • Stripe β€” payment processing and Host payouts
  • Google β€” sign-in, address/Places autocomplete, and Google Analytics 4 site measurement
  • Mapbox β€” interactive map display

Google Analytics 4 is the only analytics platform in use. Parkeas uses no advertising platforms. We will update this Policy as our technology stack evolves.

15. Changing Your Cookie Preferences

You can clear your non-essential cookies and local data at any time from your Privacy settings. Parkeas doesn't yet offer a per-category toggle, so clearing resets all of it in one step and signs you out. Some cookies already stored on your device may also need to be deleted through your browser settings.

16. Browser Controls

Most web browsers allow you to view, delete or block cookies, allow cookies only from certain websites, disable third-party cookies, or clear browsing data. Blocking all cookies may prevent some Parkeas features β€” including staying signed in β€” from functioning properly.

17. Progressive Web App

Parkeas can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) directly from your browser β€” there is currently no separate native App Store or Google Play app. When installed, Parkeas uses the same cookies and local storage described in this Policy, plus your device's notification permission if you enable push notifications. These permissions can be managed through your device's operating-system settings.

18. Do Not Track Signals

Parkeas honours the consent choices you set in your account. Because there is no consistent industry standard for browser-level "Do Not Track" signals, we do not respond to them separately. Where applicable law establishes specific requirements, Parkeas will seek to comply with them.

19. Cookie Retention

Session cookies are generally deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies β€” like your language and theme preference β€” remain for a defined period unless manually deleted. Parkeas seeks to retain cookies only for as long as reasonably necessary for their intended purpose.

20. Data Collected Through Cookies

Information collected through the cookies described in this Policy may include your session and login state, language and display preferences, and referral source. Where this information constitutes personal information, it is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

21. Cross-Border Processing

Some third-party providers named in Section 13 β€” including Stripe, Google and Mapbox β€” may process cookie-related information outside Canada. Where this occurs, information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed. Parkeas seeks appropriate contractual and organizational safeguards where required by applicable Canadian privacy law.

22. Children's Privacy

Parkeas is not intended for children to independently create Host or Guest Accounts. We do not use cookies for targeted advertising to children in circumstances where doing so would be unlawful.

23. Changes to This Cookie Policy

Parkeas may update this Policy as our technology changes, new Platform features are introduced, new service providers are used, or legal requirements change. The Last Updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek renewed consent for material changes.

Your Choices Matter

Parkeas uses cookies to help keep the Platform secure, functional and easy to use. Where cookies are optional, we aim to give Users meaningful choices about how those technologies are used.
